Harvest Festivals – Baby Loss Service – Light Party
Harvest Festivals
All our churches will be celebrating the bringing in of the harvest with their Harvest Festival Service.
There is usually also a Harvest Supper or Lunch and the churches take donations to or run an auction of produce for local charities. This year across the Benefice these will include, the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and the Trussell Trust Food Bank.
This year’s Harvest Festival Services are taking place on the following dates.

Saturday 19th September | Stour Provost 6:30pm |
Sunday 20th September | Todber 3pm |
Friday 25th September | Kington Magna 6:30pm |
Sunday 4th October | West Stour 10am East Stour 11am (with Communion) |
Sunday 11th October | Fifehead Magdalen 6:30pm (with Communion) |
October is also the month of our Baby Loss Service which takes place to coincide with Baby Loss Awareness week.
This year the service will be held at East Stour on the 11th October at 3pm.
All welcome to this short and simple service at Christchurch East Stour, as we join with people across the world lighting candles this week in memory of babies who have died at any stage of pregnancy, or during or after birth, recently or long ago and in recognition of their grief.
October is also when we have our Light Party. This year it will be on Friday the 30th October at East Stour from 4pm until 5:30pm.
This is our annual alternative to Halloween Parties – always lots of fun for all the family!
